this is completely personal and not applicable to everyone: avant-garde (this would for example include zeuhl, eclectic, Krautrock, space rock and electronic) normal but interesting normal but boring

Earlier I wrote "Conventional Prog, Alternative Prog and Experimental Prog", although I could have put it in two categories, conventional and unconventional Prog, but when I woke up I was thinking about this topic for some reason (might have had a really boring dream), and will offer an alternative answer:
Progressive Prog Regressive Prog Static Prog It works better on the individual album level, but then classification would often work better that way. |
