I love this track, which I think qualifies. It's Ten Years After - Rock & Roll Music To The World - Standing At The Station: Edited by I prophesy disaster - November 29 2019 at 23:04 |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

How about “Abraham’s Daughter” by Arcade Fire, “Epic” by Faith No More, or “Something In 4/4 Time” by Daryl Hall?

Not an expert for proper genre classification, so I'm not sure whether this piece of progressive stadium rock actually can count as prog according to the rules of this forum, but I can say that Foals playing Two Steps Twice live is surely among the very best things you can see live these days, and would do any prog album proud. |

MGMT while some would argue "Siberian Breaks" would be at home on a Prog album, I'd nominate their track "Metanoia".

The last two are from albums that are stunning pretty much from beginning to end, so not really isolated proggy songs on otherwise non-proggy albums (although probably not classified as full-blown prog by most)... rather stuff that I believe is pretty much unknown in these quarters... there are more female geniuses in music than just Kate Bush...

My first thought was Dire Straits - Telegraph Road but that’s been mentioned. How about Grateful Dead - Terrapin Station. Or Trey Anastasio - Beneath A Sea Of Stars. (I know, Phish and Oysterhead are on this site as prog related) And if you’re referencing CSN, I’d say Cathedral or Shadow Captain could qualify.

Lastly, I had tried to add this to the database back in the day, not very optimistically, knowing that it's way left field. But if you like Shakti, the below is as prog as that, if not more so (it's an organised composition as opposed to Hindustani/Carnatic improv playing, for one thing). |

Freebird Boston - Foreplay/It's Been A Long Time was recently used at the end of an episode of Ray Donovan. The instrumental intro is truly brilliant from a prog keyboard point of view.
