Cool that you liked the idea! Here are some keywords to give you further ideas: magic/magician, sorcery/sorcerer, wizardry/wizard, conjuration/conjurer, illusion/illusionist, trick/trickster, enchant/enchanter, ensorcell/ensorceller, necromancy/necromancer, alchemy/alchemist, transmute, evocation, devilry, thaumaturgy, bewitch, voodoo, spell, mage, presage, soothsayer, caster etc.

Like I said, you can think of something figuratively too. It can be a love song, for instance, where someone puts a spell on another. Smile

For everyone who'd like start looking for their nominations already, this one will be about the spoken word in music. Yes it can be rap, but also all kinds of other uses of spoken words. There may also be proper singing, instrumental parts, whatever you like, but some spoken words need to be there.

(We have to do this at some point, don't we? Big smile)

A whole lot of options come to mind. I'm a big fan of poetry and good song lyrics. I would like to submit a few songs in languages other than English. Can I include an English translation? Could be a bit tricky, though. Not sure people will read them. Disapprove

In general I am in favor of any theme (and also the absence of a theme), the important thing is that it is large enough for everyone to participate.

I would say that after the Lewian poll you could open yours on Asia. Again: the important thing is to allow participants to select not only songs from Asian bands but also Asian-style songs from Western bands.

About the lyrics of the songs: Logan says we shouldn't post the original English copyrighted ones (translations I think are ok)
