Another week, another Random Album Clash! This time we go back to the 21st century and take a look at 2008, a decent year for prog rock for sure! I am going to kick things off with a vote for Beardfish. Here are all the winners so far: 1970 - 'Lizard' by King Crimson 1992 - 'Hybris' by Anglagard 1985 - 'Misplaced Childhood' by Marillion 2019 - 'Resistance' by IQ 1968 - 'A Saucerful of Secrets' by Pink Floyd 1975 - 'A Night at the Opera' by Queen 2000 - 'Lightbulb Sun' by Porcupine Tree 1982 - 'Signals' by Rush 1995 - 'THRAK' by King Crimson 2005 - 'Deadwing' by Porcupine Tree 1965 - 'Rubber Soul' by The Beatles 1980 - 'Permanent Waves' by Rush 1971 - 'Who's Next' by The Who 1969 - 'Stand Up' by Jethro Tull1991 - 'Innuendo' by Queen 1986 - 'So' by Peter Gabriel

Tough call between Wilson and B&B.
Going the latter this time.

This is the toughest one yet - by far! There’s definitely several there fairly equal in my affections. I’ve given it to Opeth, but that’s really not particularly fair as that album doesn’t stand out any more than the other of my favourites from this list. Just a snap decision, or I might never make a decision at all! 😄🤪

Some good ones here! I'm a bit under the spell of the gutsy "change in direction" Pendragon orchestrated with Pure, so I'm giving it my vote.

Oh wow! Didn't expect 'Pure' to be in the lead just after 12 hours. Especially when we have Opeth, Wilson, Beardfish and Cynic.

Bit out of character for me to be the first Steve Wilson voter.
