I put 10-20, but it may well be more than that...such a wealth of great music and talent on this site.

Just as a brief example, Because of this site and being able to download and burn onto a disc to listen to on better stereo systems than a computer can provide, In a period of two months I purchased 5 Arena cds, 8 Gentle Giant cds, 1 Threshold, and 1 Angra cd.  This does not hurt the record industry at all. It helps, because serious collectors always prefer the real deal.

That's me exactly ... and it would be a lot higher if I didn't live in a country where prog CDs are hard to find (I think I already had 300 by the time I came here)

Something in the region of 60 so far.

About 70 others currently on the "Want List".

I have no life.

Only 25ish so far. The MP3 feature on the reviews is a godsend. Could do
with a couple more per review though.

I'll go with about 75+.

This place really opened my eyes to music and intorduced me to alot of bands.

And the want list  from this place...whoo boy...i dont think they make numbers so big

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

Just following up on my post (above) and tying it in with another hot forum topic, I'm disappointed at the move away from fully downloadable mp3s to streaming audio.

One of the reasons why I've bought so much music thanks to Prog Archives has been the ability to download a track and listen to it at my leisure, not just when I happen to be sitting at my computer. By doing that, I can get nice and familiar with the piece, and make a decision on whether "to buy or not to buy" over the course of a few days.

I'm a prime example of someone who uses the availability of downloadable tracks to actually put more money into the hands of the labels/artists than I would without such a service. I'm much less likely to take a financial flyer on something that I haven't heard at all. In fact, Ii'd be MORE inclined to try to get a copy by other means!

Still, I'm glad that I was able to grab those mp3s for a few months anyway.
