Listen to Turkish psych/prog; you won't regret: Baris Manco,Erkin Koray,Cem Karaca,Mogollar,3 Hürel,Selda,Edip Akbayram,Fikret Kizilok,Ersen (and Dadaslar) (but stick with the '70's, and 'early 80's!)

Damn Right! I can't get enough of it!!! And I've been collecting mainly Krautrock mp3's for the last three weeks (approximately one mp3 disc, consisting of at least 9 albums, every three days)

I knew that picture from long ago and yes it is Ash Ra Tempel, but posting it here and talking about Ashra... I just hope he talked about Ash Ra Tempel then...
Hmmm... maybe you know lots more than me Bilek, I'm not that deep into information conserning who was when, where and why and that kind of stuff.
I'm so so when it comes to bandnames, release years and what country it came from, Ashra was mostly Göttsching, I didn't say he was alone... to say it this way: he is the one that make the sound good so if one don't like them you shall blame someone else than him.
You seem to know some info Bilek and to be honest I think you'd beat me any day at: Who Wants To Be A Krautonaire?
Anyhow, I have more than 1800+ kraut albums and you'll prolly know more than me about all of them, fine with me... then I'm happy for you Bilek, also proud to say the least

Gee, what's all the fuss about?!?!?!?
I just said you must know better than me, and I was damn serious!!!
1800+ krautrock albums!?!?!?!? My entire discothéque cannot match up to that number (even if I include my 150+ CD mp3 archive)!!!
|
Fuss, it was nothing near fuss... I was happy that you knew so much... in some parts I was also kidding or more like joking a little bit... never ment in a bad way my friend... sorry Bilek that you took it the wrong way.
150+ CD mp3??? that wasn't bad
Yes I believe I've got that many, maybe 50 more or less, I don't care wich...
But then my life sucks hard, one of my few ups in life is 'krautrock' and without this and 'canterbury'... and my female I'm nothing, have nothing... true... not sad or so but it's honest and no fuss here also... Ok Bilek?

Have you heard AINIGMA or RUFUS ZUPHALL? Those were the first German 70's rock I heard. I found their albums from local vinyl stores, where Little Wing of Refugees (the record label) pushed their material. I think there should be some mp3 streams for them. GÄA is also a great band, a bit similar to those. I discovered it by using this site!

I only have one album, from the Ash Ra Tempel incarnation of this group: Starring Rosi. It's not bad, but I'd really like to get their other stuff. I suppose I like the Tangerine Dream influences I hear in them also, as I always liked the TD sound. Oh, and of course, there's that brilliant guitar player, what's his name?

Yo Bilek!
Where do you find all this? | My mp3 dealer (pirate) works hard these days! He uses SLSK (soul seek?) to share mp3's on the net. (I can't do that, not allowed at work, and don't have a personal computer!) He found almost the entire discographies of Faust, Embryo, Guru Guru and Kraan (few albums missing) Unfortunately he was lazy on Ash Ra Tempel. I still lack ASh Ra Tempel (debut), Seven Up and Gin Rose, along with many Ashra releases. MAybe he'll bring the private tapes one day... And I myself DL'ed the entire studio recordings of Can (with the exception of Cannibalism 3) from several russian mp3 sites... I'll dig deeper when I have money
