Ironically his last album "You Won't See Me" turned out to be prophetic.

I am friends on facebook with relatives, friends and colleagues of Helmut Koellen's who relate how much they still love him very much and miss him dearly-decades later. What a sad end it was for him, but he is not forgotten.

Vangelis, Edgar Froese, Klaus Schulze and Conrad Schnitzler should definitely be in there.

Not to make light of such a serious subject, but your montage is woefully incomplete , since it omits the loss of GARY BROOKER We also just lost KEITH REID , Procols brilliant lyricist |

David Bedford was a composer who was affiliated with Progressive Rock...off and on..throughout his career. He worked with Mike Oldfield, Camel on The Snow Goose and a few artists that made their mark in the so called Canterbury scene.
I have 11 of his cds and I discovered him in the mid 70s collecting his albums. I miss David Bedford greatly. I wish someone on this planet would make an investment and release a box set of his works. |
