Ironically his last album "You Won't See Me" turned out to be prophetic.

Exactly.
I am friends on facebook with relatives, friends and colleagues of Helmut Koellen's who relate how much they still love him very much and miss him dearly-decades later. What a sad end it was for him, but he is not forgotten.

Sorry, looks like I cut off the original comment, which was about 27 Club members.

Vangelis, Edgar Froese, Klaus Schulze and Conrad Schnitzler should definitely be in there.

Hi,

And now, Ryuichi Sakamoto.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Not to make light of such a serious subject,  but your montage is  woefully incomplete , since it  omits the loss of

GARY BROOKER

We also just lost KEITH REID , Procols  brilliant lyricist

David Bedford was a composer who was affiliated with Progressive Rock...off and on..throughout his career. He worked with Mike Oldfield, Camel on The Snow Goose and a few artists that made their mark in the so called Canterbury scene.

I have 11 of his cds and I discovered him in the mid 70s collecting his albums. I miss David Bedford greatly. I wish someone on this planet would make an investment and release a box set of his works.
