THE FLOWER KINGS biography
Roine STOLT has become one of the leading figures in the new wave of progressive rock. Together with the other members of The FLOWER KINGS he has released numerous albums of high quality. The music is complex high quality progressive rock with lengthy instrumental passages. The compositions are well structured with beautiful harmonies, great guitar playing and vocals of Roine, but keyboard player Tomas BODIN plays also an important role in the typical sound of this swedish group. They are greatly inspired by the 70's groups GENESIS, GENTLE GIANT and YES.

"Retropolis", released in 1996, was a major breakthough in Japan and North America. Roine STOLT has made two solo albums but was also involved in the project of progressive supergroup TRANSATLANTIC. Their latest album "Rainmaker" is a bit heavier and less symphonic than their previous work.

Anyways, a lot of these bios are in need of SERIOUS updates...
