I always wanted a Funkadelic style super group, imagine Jimi Hendrix on guitar, Boots Collins on bass, Bernie Worrell on keys, and Buddy Miles on drums. It would be some of the most insane funky psych rock ever, very unfortunate that Hendrix died so young.

I don't have a dream rock supergroup.
I wish certain bands would release new music, for sure, but I don't see how daydreaming of my favorite musicians collaborating would do me or anyone any good. In this context, reality is good enough.

Depends on the type of music I want to hear.
Off the top of my head I would always choose Tony Levin. On drums I'd like Steve Jansen. On vocals I'd like David Sylvian and Elizabeth Frazer. On trumpet I'd like Jon Hassell. On guitars I'd like John McLaughlin and/or Ralph Towner. On keyboards I'd like Chick Corea. Ask me again in ten minutes and I'd come up with a totally different lineup! |
