OK. Apples were very prog to start with. I mean there was even a concept album about apples and serpents, copied by the first chapter of the Bible. But, as the years went on, apples became more and more mainstream and even recorded a solo album with Phil Collins. Oranges have been always been prog, and will never sell out. |

Orange sucks. Even orange juice can be a bit painful to drink, even though the taste is pretty enjoyable.

I don't think apples are prog at all. In fact, even pears are more prog.

People keep saying that but where is it? I ran a search on apples and this is the only one that came up. If it is using a different metaphor then obviously we need a poll to compare that metaphor to the apples and oranges metaphor.

It has been done before, definitely. Man Overboard might have been the one? I can't remember how I voted then and I want to remain consistent (we couldn't be thinking I pick choices at random in these polls, could we? ) so I'll abstain.

I disagree! Oranges are far far more prog. Apples should be moved to prog-related! |

Apples have much more substance to them than an orange does. Plus, you can make them into all sorts of goodies: apple pie, apple tart, apple sauce, etc. When was the last time you had an orange pie?
