Although a lot of their stuff became rather "samey" from album to album I love Highway to hell (or the Bon Scott era) also Black in Black.
Really like Appetite for destruction and some of Slash´s solos.
So in the end I chose the tie option. Edited by RycheMan - June 25 2006 at 21:06 |

Sorry, musically AC/DC are (esp. Agnus Young) really talented but i can't stand the vocals. It has always irritated me.
I also don't very much like GNR, but really love some of their songs like November Rain, Don't Damn me, Welcome To The Jungle.
So GNR

I'm no fan of either, but I think AC/DC were better and more influential. Brian Johnson's vocals are a bit irritating, but they're heavenly music if compared to Axl's whining.

Just read in the news today that Axl Rose bit a Swedish man on the leg!!
Really, the guy still hasn´t grown up, probably it was to get publicity.
Hang on, doesn´t Teaflax live in Sweden! Edited by RycheMan - June 27 2006 at 18:34 |

Guns'N'Roses produced the near-brilliant "Appetite for Destruction", then stopped being creative altogether, instead selling themselves to the media and churning out unimaginative and often pretentious drivel.
AC/DC went from 1974-1980 producing albums that redefined how Chuck Berry could be interpreted in quite staggeringly audacious ways, each one quite brilliant in its own way, right up to the kick-ass "Back In Black". One could count "For Those About To Rock..." in this section, but really it's "Back In Black" part II. Since then they've contented themsleves with producing unpretentious and consistently decent Rock/Boogie - clearly not feeling the need to innovate any more. With such a legacy and talent for showmanship they probably don't need to. No contest - it's like comparing The Darkness to Queen. |

AC/DC, definately. GnR sure has a couple of good songs, but Axl is a dumbass clown who can't ever sing. Well, I'm not saying that Scott or Johnson are that good either, but their voices have that certain "kick" in them. A great band.

It's not about idiocy. Fact is, AC/DC doesn't take themeselves seriously, they do understand it's a big joke, whereas GNR has no sense of humour in these terms. And I actually prefer AC/DC music, it charges me with real energy and good mood. So I go for AC/DC, one of the greatest kick-ass band ever. |

GnR never wrote anything that could rival ACDC's song 'Big Balls'

Guns N' Roses. Appetite For Destruction and Use Your Illusion are masterpieces IMO. Very creative music. I like AC/DC but their songs sound all the same, I found them less interesting.

AC/DC =
(and not because they have "inferior musicianship" or some stupid
comment like that.....i just can't stand any of their music. Their
songs sound the same for the most part: I mean, "TNT" and "Dirty Deeds"
sounds almost identical!!!)
Guns 'n Roses are awesome though Edited by coffeeintheface - July 04 2006 at 01:20 |
