I'm new here.  So I apologize if this has been done before.  I'd like to hear who some of your favorite prog album cover artists are.  Of course I like Roger Dean.  I got into Yes so long ago that I can't remember how it happened, but I imagine Dean's covers had something to do with it.  My favorite Dean Yes cover is "Yesshows" but they are all beautiful (not true, however, of Dean's cover for Atomic Rooster).  I also like the covers that Cal Schenkel did for Zappa.  And Ralph Steadman, although he's better known for illustrating Hunter Thompson books, has done some good ones, too.

apart Roger Dean, the next extremely popular album cover designer is obviously Hipgnosis:

All:

Roger Dean and Hipgnosis (Storm Thorgerson et al) probably did more to define rock album cover art than anyone else.  Giger also added.  Also, let's not forget Paul Whitehead, who did the covers for Trespass, Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Pawn Hearts and many others, as well as designing the mad hatter logo for Charisma Records.

Peace.
