Interesting point, Athanasios. I guess if an artist offers a name your price without a minimum spend (which they can do), they are offering it for free but inviting donations if the downloader feels they want to. For example, where there is also a physical offering, I will download for free ($0) and either keep the album and buy the CD/tape, or delete if I don't enjoy. Download-only albums I only occasionally contribute to, but that's my choice.  I contribute a small fortune monthly to musicians without chipping in a few pounds that will get swallowed up by Paypal fees.

I've been checking out a bunch of these links. A lot of the post-rock/post-metal type of Prog is killer musically. But I hate this thing of having no singer! Ha! I've run across a few with vocalists, and I love those...but when I see no singer listed, it's disappointing.
