Death wins, but death/thrash/prog in the Death ( the band ) vein wins :P

Eh, progressive, probably. It's the broadest genre in the poll. Progressive metal can pretty much incorporate whatever the band wants.

Obviously Progressive metal gets my vote.
I was never a fan of extreme metal like death, black (
) or grind or metalcore.
I enjoy gothic metal once in a while. My favourite bands are Paradise Lost, Tiamat, Dreadful Shadows, Evereve and Amorphis (not the early stuff though - Tales of a 1000 Lakes is listenable and quite enjoyable IMHO; they had some aggressive albums after that but with Tuonela, they became better and a bit more complex).

In any order:
Progressive Metal
Thrash Metal
Math Metal
Grindcore
Metalcore
Heavy Metal
Power Metal
Hair Metal
Speed Metal
a bit of Death and Doom Metal
Mostly technical, hard to figure out, brain splitting, nose bleeding, head banging, in your face metal... Yeah... thats it.....
