Well, here's on not properly abusive, but anyway made into a frustrated tone. I'll report it, the judges can see fit:
JETHRO TULL — Thick As A Brick Review by ringo This is when I lost patience with Jethro Tull. This was 10 minutes of superb music crammed into a 43 minute album. It's repetitive, increasingly annoying, and pointless. The lyrics are banal and obtuse (quite a feat to be both at the same time). yes, I understand that it's an ironic statement by Ian Anderson, a satirical reply to critics who thought Aqualung was a concept album. But really, a more concise 10 minute track on the next album would've been more appropriate Ian! In any case, about seven or eight of the Aqualung tracked can be loosely connected, so there is some concept thing going eh?? He took the joke to even greater heights (or depths) with Passion Play (a 1 star album if ever there was one) when he realised that he's managed to fool an awful lot of the record-buying public that a one-track album was a good idea. So he lost his sense of humour in the face of £sd, as is so often the case. So, I give the extra star for those first 10 minutes, but really, Ian, you'd already proved you could do so much better... |

This is not a thing I do gladly, since I have a lot of regard for the reviewer in question. However, I don't think a review is the right place to question inclusions - and of course, since the addition was made by myself on behalf of the Crossover team, reading the review didn't make me jump for joy:
http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=157850 Please don't see it as an attack on the reviewer. It isn't - I just feel such comments are best left to forum discussions. Edit: see Rule 5: 5 - Do not voice general opinions on matters such as whether a band/album/sub-genre should be included in the site, whether you agree with the star rating system, etc.. Such matters should be discussed in the forum. Keep the review pertinent to the specific album concerned. The reviews section is NOT the place for initiating or prolonging a debate. It can also be seen as a creative way of describing his opinion of the album

He wrote that in 2005, but Boris was finally issued on CD, I've read, back in 2004 by Syn-Phonic. I think it can be downloaded legally, so suggesting it be downloaded may be referring to that. I checked their catalogue and it's still listed there (for $15) -- may be out of print now (synphonic). The review should be edited. It's an interesting case when referring to albums that are not available on CD or are out of print (some that one must spend oodles of money for the LP or used CD), but he said it because he was surprised to be the first to review it. At the very least, I would think, legal downloading (with a link to where it could be) should have been specified if a search had proved that it was not available on CD at the time (but according to what I've read, it was available on CD at the time through Syn-Phonic).

This is not so much a review as it is more of him discussing how he is the first to review it. Also, he mentions that you should download the album, and I do believe that's against policy, no?

The last review of the Genesis album Duke , I think its done by a guy called razifa is a bit odd, he writes a favourable sounding review and then gives it 2 stars but there seems to me to be little or no justification for it.

Look at Almuadem's Nimrodel's album page. Apart from a three star review of Kotro (whom I don't suspect of anything) we've got there:
- member zeus1 (Joined date: 12/23/2007 | Posts: 0| Last visit: 12/23/2007 5:36:26 PM EST) - , only rating (and that's his only rating) - member robert_bing (Joined date: 12/23/2007 | Posts: 0| Last visit: 12/23/2007 5:10:31 PM EST) - , review (his only one) - member Mozarttaler (Joined date: 12/25/2007 | Posts: 0| Last visit: 12/26/2007 5:42:18 PM EST) - , review (apart from this one he also posted ratings without reviews for three major albums - looks like a smoke-screen to me - all four within ten minutes) - member tellius_pontius (Joined date: 12/26/2007 | Posts: 0| Last visit: 12/26/2007 10:14:29 AM EST) - , review (his only one) This way the album in question has got now a 4.71 rating and became The Most Popular Album in the last 7 days (featured on the front page). Doesn't it look suspicious? Edited by Tuzvihar - December 26 2007 at 19:19 |

TRANSATLANTIC — Bridge Across Forever
Review by Ely78 (Elizabeth)
Finally I'm returned in PA, without my mother that after a resonant one
quarreled with Mandrakeroot decided to let go PA. So I'm free and my
opinion is finally totally free. So this Transatlantic Bridge Across
Forever in my opinion is a great album but with the influence of my
mother... But this isn't the place for comments like this. Well I can understand the nature of the message (unfortunately, I can't understand what Ely specifically means through the message), but it's quite personal for a review. Edited by Ricochet - December 26 2007 at 16:14 |

As useful as that could be, you know that would just cause headaches with the admins having to remove the "less constructive" comments. |

That's correct... reviews are there to let one expresses his/her opinion about the album not to comment about other people's opinion.
There's a specific forum to discuss, in a civil manner, reviews' contents:
If the discussion goes to the reviews these will be edited/deleted once discovered.
