Other than progressive rock, these are my least favorite genres.  What are yours?  My absolute least favorite is probably country, mostly because I live in Music City, and so am bombarded by it's awfulness on all sides.

Hip Hop and R&B. Country doesn't bother me at all.

I don't think that country is that bad. Yeah some country is painful to the ears but some unknown country and bluegrass guitarists are awesome.

Rap and Hip Hop (whatever the difference may be) though can't please me most of the times.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

The only country I mind is the really twangy stuff like Hank Williams (I,II or III) and some of their contemporaries.

Progressive Rock and its offshoots, because it often makes one pretentious and very intolerant towards other less "accomplished" genres of music. This is actually my honest opinion, even if I personally love the music. I've seen Prog-induced pretentiousness and genre-fascism totally ruin good people.

Star
Gold star for you!
Honestly, I don't like mainstream country at all, but I will never say that a whole genre outright sucks, because i know that there are many good country/bluegrass/whatever bands making music somewhere.  Those who bash hip hop need to listen to a little Massive Attack.  There's something good out there.

Cheesy pop is one of the worst things that exist in music. Dead
Mesmo a tristeza da gente era mais bela
E além disso se via da janela
Um cantinho de céu e o Redentor

It's bad, but we can't argue about the dance.Wink It's an excuse to get close and sensual to your dance partner and I personaly don't have a problem with that. I can ignore the music and dance all night long.Big smile

I can't stand Rap/Hip Hop, but a lot of "emo" and "hardcore" music is just flat out PAINFUL to listen to.  Girly poppy crap is really bad as well.  I don't mind country, although some of it is bad it is rarely painful.

I guess that's ok, but watch your back man. That "Full perreo" is a pretty dangerous situation.
