Topic: Europe vs Asia Posted: November 13 2006 at 03:26 |
well, which one is it? Asia has released more albums than Europe so they do have a strong point ahead, if I may say so. Some of you will laugh at my poll, some will not (I hope ).

though choice, Guess Europe wins it because of the final countdown, but at the end of the day I can't really decide between the two
both made 1 really good album and some reasonable good ones.
let's call it a tie.

Asia is not all about the debut album as Europe is not all about The Final Countdown. Therefore...

I don't like either of them, but one I like less than the other. This might be the only time I will ever cast a vote for Asia.

Just look at your map of the world: Asia is much bigger than Europe!

I've never heard Asia, but I don't think they could be worse than Europe.

I just heard some tracks from Europe-"Start from the dark" and was really surprised!
Europe today sound nothing like the more commercial eighties Europe.
I voted for them.

I've only heard one Asia song and one Europe song (The Final Countdown). EUROPE!

Europe, if they opt for a series of quick, devastating nuclear strikes -- Asia if it is to be a protracted, conventional conflict.
Ye gods -- it's the dreaded "yellow horde!"
Any band named for a continent is crapola, though, by definition.... |
Such positive thinking , it ain't funny at all.
I never answer polls where I don't like bands involved there. Shame i seem to be a minority.
Excuse my rudeness.

^ Jeez, it was just a joke.
I will delete my grossly offensive post.
Sorry.

^Peter, are you getting yourself into trouble again? You're supposed to be a stereotypically polite Canadian!

A little humour can be a dangerous thing, it seems.
And never respond to a band poll unless you are a fan of the band -- or else!
First global warming, then me -- this planet is doubly done for....

Humor is NEVER a dangerous thing, sorry I reacted this way.
Of course no one must respond to a band poll unless one is a fan; I guess I expected people to take this thread seriously, but hey I've chosen a hair-metal band against a prog-related one. Maybe this poll was a mistake from the start.

Thanks Cristi -- back at ya:
I really meant no offense -- I just couldn't resist the title of the poll!
Re the bands, I'm actually indifferent -- Asia should have been prog, but weren't (that's their right, I guess -- everyone needs to eat), and I only barely knew the "Final Countdown" single from Europe. Not my cup of tea, but harmless enough, I suppose.
Life's too short not to have a few laughs, though! Enough sadness comes our way in the course of life, so why not throw in some humour, to help us get through it?
