I voted for "Playing the Fool" but would have voted for the Barclay James Harvest "Live" double album from 1974 had that been on the list.

Hmm...given this odd sack of albums, I'll pick Roxy & Elsewhere, every song is a gem.

Only know Gong, the DVD (original version is best) of Live in Pompeii by Pink Floyd, and Solar music - Live by Grobschnitt. Need to get that Gentle Giant album...

Yessongs showed the world the Yes could not only match the studio versions of some songs but exceed them. My second choice would be Zappa's 'You can't do that on Stage". It's the CD I play to try and convert the non-believers.

YESSONGS is the ultimate prog album
you get the best of the ''Yes album'', ''Fragile'' and CTTE in its entirey in more powerful versions than the original ones. and we don't want to forget about the cover art.
Not on this list, i will add 'USA'' by KC -the 30th aniversary edition because it adds STARLESS and FRACTURE to the original one and makes a powerful statement of Crimson fury at its peak.

ELP - Welcome back..
Yessongs is an EXTREMELY close second.
Why not Camel's "A Live Record"?

Circus is a nice live album.
But Yessongs, Pulse & Live are better

Strange poll without Genesis, Camel and Barclay James Harvest, not a fan of symphonic prog? And where is Rush?
Anyway, I would have voted for Genesis Live, Barclay James Harvest Live (1974), Yessongs, Pink Floyd At Pompeii and Pictures At An exhibition as my Top 5 Prog Live Albums Of All Time.

I went with Yessongs from this list.
But a few outstanding live releases.
Kansas - Two for the Show
Rush - Exit Stage...Left, All The World's a Stage, (oh hell...all of them)
Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere...
Genesis - Live
Dream Theater - 5 Years in a Livetime (I like all the throw back song segments to classic rock)

Unfortunately, not one on this list would make my top live albums, so I can't vote.
Personally, I would choose:
Genesis - Live Archive '67-75
Genesis - Live
Genesis - Second's Out
TFK - Meet The Flower Kings
TFK - Alive On Planet Earth
TFK - Instant Delivery (the two live cds that come with the special edition dvd)
Rush - Different Stages
Rush - All The World's A Stage
Porcupine Tree - Coma Divine
Steve Hackett - Live Archive 05
And probably the other Steve Hackett live albums too!

Yessongs. Just sitting there looking at the 3 records in front of you is amazing, and it gets better when you actually listen to them.

as far as your options voted for GG - Playing the Fool though I don't really listen to it much. I like some others I have better (official boots)
as far as the multitude of great prog albums you didn't include on your list...
toss up between the two greatest of them all
Live at Carnegie Hall and Space Ritual.
since I've been listening to more Hawkwind recently.... Space Ritual.
