Looks like we have gone beyond the xylophone into vibes and marimbas etc?

What about Gary Burton, or Steps Ahead's Mike Mainieri, or even Bill Bruford's outing on Feels Good To Me using  vibes (with the vibrator turned off).

Brief note from Mr. Pedantic - I don't think Daniel Denis actually played xylophone on any UZ albums (please correct me if I'm wrong) but on his solo album 'Sirius and the Ghosts' and subsequent UZ albums Bart Quartier has played assorted mallet percussion.

I'm definitely with you on numbers 1 -3, also

Fred Frith - Henry Cow

Ed Marimba - The Magic Band (who played xylophone as well)

Mo Kin, Child Prodigy

If Kim Jong Il's North Korean army is built of tiny prodigies, like the adorable three year old Mo Kin who can play the xylophone like nobody's business.

If we include vibes, then Dick Heath is right: Gary Burton goes on top.  However, we would also have to include both John Weather and Kerry Minnear from Gentle Giant - both top-notch vibe and marimba players.

Peace.

Are you sure it's Daniel Denis playing on those tracks - Bart Quartier is credited with marimba and glockenspiel on the cover, though there's no reason why Daniel Denis couldn't have had a bash as well.

That High School looks well above norm for the arts.  That is really cool what they have done for the whole department.
