And yet another Brazilian band. Not that I prefer Brazilian stuff over other countries' music. Far from it. It's just that, as a Brazilian, I end up finding great stuff from here more easily, while I miss lovely music from different parts of the globe. Anyways, someone's presented this group to me. I don't quite think it was presented especially to me, but this particular person told I had to listen to their self-titled debut if I indeed wanted to learn how to play the bass and enjoyed Fusion. Weren't I surprised. The bassist André Gomes is a very talented musician, and I dare placing him beside Jaco Pastorius, Chris Squire and all these big shots. Listen to his thick and quick soloing at the countertime on "Fechado Para Balanço" and other songs. The other musicians are very competent, too (as most of Jazz/Fusion players, actually). I wish I could offer the whole album to you, really. But I may offer a song at this site's Streaming MP3 and their own profile here. I hope you enjoy it.
