Though the obvious choice would be "Stairway To Heaven", I went for "No Quarter" - specifically, the live version on The Song Remains the Same. Pure magic!Heart

I have always considered Stairway to Heaven to be my all-time favorite song, however, Kashmir has always been my favorite Led Zeppelin song.  That comment always make sense to me, but never to any one else.

Kashmir is without a doubt, my favorite Zeppelin song.
It's just so splendidly done, and epic.

no frickin idea what is best.. they wouldn't be ... Zeppelin if they were that easy...  so simply going with the song that simply never gets old and still sounds fresh after hundreds.. or thousands of listens.

Battle of Evermore.

loved it from the first listen as a kid.. and still do today.

I voted other....

How could you leave Going to California off the list?   (Although The Rain Song is it's equal, as is Ramble On.)

Going to California is a GORGEOUS song!!, but I never expected one to vote for it as there are other acoustic tunes that are more liked and there is "The Rain Song", which was actually the one I voted for.

One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in classic rock.

There are many, in different styles, for different moods (Zep weren't one-dimensional). It just depends upon which song you want to hear at any given time.

Once again, I reject the simplistic notion that there has to be, or is, a "best" or "ultimate" in everything. Such thinking in "absolute" terms is more applicable to fields like math and science, where things can be objectively measured and quantified, proved or disproved -- not art, and matters inextricably connected to individual taste.

Zep's most recognizable, most widely-known song, though, would have to be Stairway to Heaven. The opening moments of Black Dog, Whole Lotta love, Kashmir and the Immigrant Song also scream "Led Zeppelin."

I can't pick just one song -- the band has acoustic beauty and soft vocals (Goin' to California), masterful, polished blues (Tea For One), and thunderous hard rock/metal (many examples). All major aspects of their sound were indispensable, and together, made up the magnificent, unique whole. Why settle for one facet, when I can have them all?

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.
