Out of those Burger places mentioned here, Wendy's was my fave but it does not exist in Europe. Harveys is missing. BK is much better than Mc Do. In Toronto , they had back in the late 80's this chain called the Fire Pit that made absolute best burgers ever. Two choices machine made burgers are hand-made just like on your BBQ. |

Here in Australia we have the major chains Mcdonalds(Maccas), Pizza Hut, KfC... But Burger King Here in South Australia is called "hungry Jacks"(but it is the same U.S chain) i am not sure why(i must investigate this further!!) There was a local pizza chain in the mid to late 80s called "Dial a Dino's"(the best seafood pizzas i have ever had!!) which became so successful that apparently Pizza Hut made them an offer they could not refuse!!!(they bit into P.H profits) We also have a Seafood fast food chain called "Barnacle Bills",Great selection of fish and chip packs(2 king george whiting and chips $6.50),excellent prawn cocktails and salad packs and a really nice Chocolate Mousse!!!! Our local chicken shop "Golden Rooster" does the best 1/4 chicken and chips!!! BY THE WAY JAMES LEE "HAROLD AND KUMAR" is not great but okay, but i was intrigued by WHITECASTLES miniburgers www.epinions.com is a good site to go to if you want to read about personal experiences of fast food places(amongst other things)
By the way i beleive CHURCHES,the second largest chicken chain in the U.S has a store in Brisbane(is this a good thing?) but i will have to confirm(or deny) this!!!

Thats because when Burger King moved into Australia, someone there already owned the Burger King name and had a few restaurants, so BK changed their name to Hungry Jacks... |
