There is the southern blues rock, but while I could only take one album by LS, I've dug deep with GM  - the Deeper Ends sets are worth a check, for the sheer variety of guest bassists involved : Chris Squire to Les Claypool

I heard few GM albums (don't remember the titles), they sounded much more psychedelic and contained lot of jamming

I came to them via the Deep End/Deeper End sets, which probably reveals them in a different light

Some new jazz and some older jazz to kick off the first 30 minutes. However,  the main feature is sampling the musicians who came out the 60's pop/rock group Timebox - especially now I 've got the remastered Boxer reissue from Esoteric. So check out the playing and vocals of Mike Patto and definitely the legendary Ollie Halsall (vibes, keyboards and guitar) in various guises: along with Timebox & Boxer, also (the experimental rock of) Patto, (the comedy pastiche of) The Rutles and Jon Hiseman's Tempest (sans jazz?).

Jazz: something from the recent Pat Metheny double and also (apparently) Metheny's first recording - as it was Jaco Pastorius's. New nu fusion from Norway's In The Country. More from Boxer. Having had a little moan at the cost of the Ange's remastered 7 CD set last week released in Japan only, delighted to discover Kevin Ayers' remastered 5 Harvest Records CD set is about a fifteenth of the price at Amazon.UK - so more of his early 'solo' music as a tribute to a Canterbury original who sadly died 8 days ago. (BTW not checked the price of the complete Family recordings yet.......). We continue to feature Mike Keneally with his UK tour coming very soon. And the usual unusual eclectic mix.

In The Country:

It's their fifth album already, just debut on major label (German ACT)

BTW, their keyboards player was one-time Jaga Jazzist member (circa 2002)

I was heavy Kansas fan for years, had all their albums (till 81'), probably because of some sentiments I like their early (70s) works till now

among with Rush they are best prog bands from N. America in 70s for me
