So, apparently a lot of people aren't understanding what the song is about:

Reincarnation.

It isn't about the afterlife as much as it is about buddhist beliefs on reaping what you've sown in a past life, and whatever your soul returns as depends on your actions previously.

The more important question is that if your spirit dies will tomorrow carry on?
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

he did after eisner died, so i'm guessing the spirit will carry on after i die too...

Sure it carries on... we fade into a great white light and goes to heaven... well... not everyone... do you see the movie Ghost...??? there are some creepy shodows who scream and take people to hell... ask Woopi Goldberg... she'll tell you...!!!
