Progressive Biography

The name: Juan Pablo Roberto Mijangos Fuentes (Jampa for friends). Age: 25 years old.

Love defines my life: love for my beautiful country, Guatemala, love for women, love for my family and of course, love for music and artistic expression.

The year: 1999; the band: DREAM THEATER; the album: AWAKE. Nothing remains the same after hearing them and been amused by their capabilities but also for having such and original and unique style. I change my friends, I change my life and decided to give my life to prog and try to be an original composer. I do, I?m doing music with my band called AXIS and we are writing our own chapter in music. Big things are yet to come.

Since I was 4 years old, I tend to spin my mother?s old Elvis Presley records and all my life I?ve been linked to my true love: ROCK.

I?m also a writer (thing that I dreamed when I was a boy and even don?t have a clue what it was really), I love to make stories and try to say something special about my country and about my people. Make people think about what they already knew, that?s the key. I?m a journalist also and my list of goals is big and my persistence as well.

I just want to play rock, make my own story and do what I love. If my reviews help people or motivate them to fall in love of music, I?m glad.
