I wouldn't consider the Loaf to be prog, potentially prog-related considering there are some bands on this site that do a similar rock opera style (Savatage).

He has one decent album (Bat Out Of Hell), and although he has Todd Rundgren's Utopia backing him up, and doing a fine job, I wouldn't call it prog.
