http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=72329

This "bonus disk" album is already entered under http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=19534

Should we keep both entries, or delete one or the other? What do you think?

(One could ask the same questions for bonus disk of this one too.)

I just added an album to the band PINGUIN but for some reason it friggin scrolled up to PING PONG and it added there.

I added to the correct page but i can't delete albums so please remove the SUPREN (as Talix) album from the PING PONG page. THANKS

Entry is a duplicate of:
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=32327
which is in the correct Compilation category

^ Thanks, http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=63446 will be delete soon by admins.

About it being a compilation or not, I think we could see it both ways. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think all tracks on it are unreleased elsewhere, and some tracks have been re-recorded, so we could see it as a studio album.

What do you think?

^ Looks like fits better in Compilations, because Marc Carlton himself writes "The resulting compilation is...".

Not sure if this counts as a double entry, or an inconsistency, or whether there is some other reason/explanation for it.

It concerns that the two albums that Henry Cow made with Slapp Happy.

Desperate Straights  (Slapp Happy with Henry Cow)

In Praise of Learning (Henry Cow with Slapp Happy)

As you will observe the former is listed on both discographies, with the latter only on Henry Cow's.

^ Wow! Thanks! But this is a difficult case!

One thing is for sure, the only album that could be deleted from the database would be http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=65031 because it has no written reviews.

We should take the time to read each band's biography to have a better understanding...

I've only recently properly explored the Slapp Happy back catalogue, so am very much a novice when it comes to their history.

Julien, mentioned unreviewed album has to be deleted, no doubt.

"Desperate Straights" in SLAPPY HAPPY discography will survive. There was a simple (I don't remember, written or unwritten) rule: simultaneous album belongs on PA to the artist listed first on the album's cover (SLAPPY HAPPY in our case).

^ That's a simple rule, I like it. Wink

Can you ask admins to delete the duplicate album, then? Because I don't know if you already did. Thanks.
