This is not supposed to be a depressive topic Big smile

Lately, I've been obsessed with the song Time Flies from the new PT album, and I've decided that that is the song I'd want played at my funeral!

How about you guys?

The Long And Winding Road by The Beatles is going to follow me when I am carried out of the church after the service. This wish is allready expressed in my last will. I am not dying, so this will happen in around 40 years time.

VDGG - Refugees
Pink Floyd - The Final Cut

It'll take a while before I'll die though, so I might change the songs I want to be played. But for now these are the ones, and probably a third one which I don't know yet.

Although I'll be physically present at my funeral, I'd rather leave it to the ones who attend it. If they want no prog at all, so be it...

Either "Wonderous Stories" by Yes or "Brilliant Trees" by David Sylvian.

I would want them to be songs people all knew so probably not my favourite (Can't see everyone hanging around for 'Suppers Ready' but he ho!).

So maybe :

A Whiter Shade of Pale - Cos that's the colour I would have turned.

'Fire' (Arthur Brown) - You're gonna burn -burn -burn (No need for explanation)

Hocus Pocus (Focus) - Everyone should leave to this with a smile on their face!
Help me I'm falling!

I don't want my funeral to be a somber occasion, so probably some Samla Mammas Manna.

Carpet Crawlers seemed extremely creepy at first given what it's about, but then thinking about the symbolism regarding the cycles of life it seems strangely appropriate. And the tone of the music itself is revernet. Nice choice.

Nick Drake's "Road"
Alphonse Mouzon's "Golden Rainbows" (c/ Tommy Bolin)

And the easy choice

"Solsbury Hill"
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

AS you said, Time Flies would be a good one. Another that I might choose would be Nights in White Satin by the Moodies.

The Coming Dawn (Thanatopsis) by Kansas seems to be an appropriate choice.

At Morning's Gate by Proto-Kaw would also be nice.
