I wouldn't mind swapping bank accounts with her, but that's about it.

I've never heard anyone claim her music (apart from her first 3 albums or so) to be especially great. I'd be lying if I said I didn't like any of her songs though.
Madonna songs I enjoy: Borderline Material Girl Beautiful Stranger Into the Groove

I don't get the hype. I've listened to many a song from her but have never been in the least bit impressed by any of the elements of her music.

For those who ask what's all the fuss about... I'm just asking if is regular that the musicians likes Madonna or her music... but as I thought, most of us do not mind about her... so I guess those musicians that I met are kind of wierd... jejeje... I don't dislike pop, I also like a few singer of pop that are really good, but guess that is for other thread... jejeje...

She made one very good album: Ray of Light. Beyond that I dont really know what the fuss is about. I dont dislike her, as such. Just not my thing I guess.

I don't have any problem with her, her music or her fans, I don't like the muysic she plays, but that's just my taste.
As a fact I'm unfamiliar with any of her albums, only heard what reached radios, TV or some reunion and don't care about it.
But there's public for every genre.

Agreed - that's an excellent album.

I'm don't really like her but I liked some of her stuff from the 90s, especially the ballads and some songs from Ray of light, but that's it. Well, some of her 80's stuff is listenable but I can't stand most of her recent stuff.

Madonna is just like any other pop star, pretty weird lifestyle and beliefs, ruthlessly building their little pop empire never minding who they step on to get where they want to get, changing husbands or occasionally throwing a tantrum to keep the gossips happy....people like her always get what they want...it's a material world, she's a material girl...
as for the music, well it's just simple forgettable *pop*...i like a lot of modern pop music, some of it is very good indeed but Madonna is well past it.....simple repetative electronic dance music, nothing complicated about it at all, one or two songs could be interesting but mostly very average pop, the same as Jacko, what is all the fuss about?

I love her first couple of albums, but I just like 80s pop in general.

I can do this with this sentence: "What does the MUSIC of x prog band have that is so special...?? the music
I've heard from x prog band is really boring and uninteresting for me at al" And for a good portion of the bands on the database here, it's true for me.

these guys may have seen Truth or Dare which is an excellent documentary and presents the music in more interesting terms, just a hunch
