I picked up Sieges Even _Navigating by the Stars_ as iTunes related artist suggestion. I've listening to the thing probably 5-6 times and I still have yet to absorb it to any substantial degree.

But one thing that keeps hitting me is that this may be the prototypical modern prog album. It integrates almost everything current in the genre. I realize I'm late to this game but curious about others' thoughts.

for newcomers, though the album is classified Prog-metal, it is no heavier than many artists still called neo-prog. It features harmony vocals, odd time signatures in abundance, and great clean singing.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

A stunning album is The Art of..., featuring the archatypical lead bassist Oliver Holzwarth. I'm not sure that I agree about it melding mutliple styles togethor, but what its got it does very well.
Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005
