I'll probaly get slammed-but about Uriah Heep's High & Mighty? I wouldn't recommend that LP for anyone's 1st Heep LP  listener but i actually like that album alot. Many good tracks(in my mind) such as Footprints In The Snow,One Way Or Another,Can't Keep A Good Band Down,Weep In Silence-heck i can listen to it all from beginning to end & enjoy it,though i might laugh & shake my head and wonder what the heck.....on a track or two. Please don't do a "summary execution" on me but i actually like Can't Stop Singing

For me it changes all the time. Especially considering that there are so many genres to cover. I think that to me, Gong's "Angel's Egg" stands out as the most fresh, complete, eclectic, and expansive progressive rock album in my collection.

Other special mentions go to Pink Floyd's Animals, Fruupp's Modern Masquerades, Yes (from Fragile to Drama), and nearly everything by Hawkwind.
I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.

Name my #1 Prog Masterpiece album?

If you insist... I guess I'll name it

"White kingly guy with huge moustache brandishes sword on card of spades"

But actually, my #1 Prog Masterpiece Album already has a name!  ("The Power and the Glory")

Positively the best Prog and Fusion 24/7!

It's The Fall of the House of Usher by Peter Hammill (This one's is the "Deconstructed & Rebuilt" version which I too think is better than the original). And yes, it is inspired by Poe's work. Great album in my opinion.
Good call BaldJean Clap

Your ultimate prog masterpiece!
Mine?
The Human Equation by Ayreon. - its the first that springs into my head.
Ayreon The Human Equation album cover
Why? I never get sick of it and it intro'd me to full blown conceptual masterpieces.

Yes The Human Equation by Ayreon is definitely a masterpiece.
When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.
