Voted Brain Salad Surgery as its my favourite album by anyone not just ELP.
Love Beach is much better than In The Hot Seat. They were virtually cripples when they recorded ITHS , Emerson and Palmer both recovering from operations and nowhere near their best. Love Beach is just very cheesey ,not the most terrible crime that can be committed against music in my book.

Trilogy has always been my favorite. Nothing particularly flashy about it, just a very decent album.

This. Though you can take the word 'loved' and replace it for 'liked'.

Just difficult. Tarkus is one the their best tracks, but almost the rest of the album is nothing. Brain salad is a more balanced and has Karn evil. ELPowell has good moments too. I will go with Brain Salad Surgery

I really like many songs from ELP, but none of their albums is really great for me. I guess my very favourite album as a "whole" is Pictures at an Exhibition.

The votes are what I would have hoped for with a stready increase through the first 4 albums culminating in their master work.
They fell off a cliff after that. I don't think any other band suffered such a sharp decline as ELP. Sad.

I've never heard the infamous Love Beach. My curiosity is almost getting the better of me. I'm going to have to buy that..I mean..how bad can it be?.. The ELP album that gives me most listening plasure from start to finish is the debut album. Beyond that I like Tarkus, Trilogy and BSS. Hell, I even like Black Moon and ELPowell, in places, but generally find their albums a little patchy. I vote for the debut!

Really don't mind if you sit this one out. My words but a whisper, your deafness a shout.
