Although I'm a fan of Romeo, Petrucci is the superior guitarist. Romeo has some awesome chops and great solos... but it just can't hold up to some of Petrucci amazing feats.

Romeo has some really neat stuff, but I'll go Petrucci just because of his awesome solo in Under a Glass Moon and in Lines in the Sand, two of my favorite "modern" guitar solos.

Romeo is a very versatile guitarist who has much better riffs, in my opinion. Petrucci is good at showing off and making technical solos, but Romeo is good at nearly everything, and he knows when to stop and take a back seat. Besides, I think the solo in Sea of Lies is better than anything Petrucci has ever done.
