Of Brian Eno's classic albums, which is your favorite?
My vote goes to Another Green World, which happens to be my favorite album ever.

Here Come The Warm Jets
I like Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) and Another Green World almost as much though.

I absolutely love all the '70's stuff, but my favorite is probably Before And After Science. The diversity of music and the lyrical humor and the guest musicians on that one are simply awesome. In fact, I think I'm going to give it a listen now. It's been a while. The only real disappointments I have are Nerve Net and The Drop. They just leave me cold. When it comes to the ambients The Plateaux Of Mirror is my favorite. By the way, fans of Music For Airports should check out Bang On A Can's cover version of the entire thing.

It's a close call, but I have to go with Apollo.

Another Green World has always garnered the most votes here, but my fave will always be the wacky, weird and wonderful Taking Tiger Mountain (with Here Come the Warm Jets second).
Of Eno's first four, AGW comes in third, for me -- a great album, but it lacks the quirky humour of the first two, and it doesn't rock nearly as hard. By then, Eno's movement towards ambience, and away from lyrics, is really starting to manifest. I LOVE early Eno lyrics!

I listen to his Ambient 1-4 albums very frequently, definitely 4 and 1 the most. I'd have to say Ambient 4/On Land is my favorite. I also have a live Fripp and Eno bootleg that is phenomenal(as well as Fripp and Eno studio), but I don't think that applies here.

Overall AGW, but BAAS is basically of equal quality.

Before and After Science. I confess I haven't heard all of these though, like Discreet Music.

Given that I rated 5 stars to Another Green World, I'd best vote for that one. Those first four are all pretty remarkable, each in its own way. He's one of the overlooked masters of the Minimoog.

All four of Eno's classic vocal albums are five star records in my opinion, but my favorite is Before and After Science. The composition and production on that album are just perfect. Spider and I is the most gorgeous song ever.

The first 3 were amazing as well as his work on Manzanera's debut Diamond Head (Eno's vocal on Miss Shapiro ? WOW!). Taking Tiger Mountain gets my vote

All of his four pop albums, but Another Green World holds a special place in my heart. It was the first of his albums I heard and was the one to convince me to look further into his output.
Also, the idea of the album just appeals to me. It reminds me of that one time I visited the Bahamas and it conjures up images of the clear ocean, beaches, tress and lizards. 14 little sonic odes of an island somewhere in the tropics. In all honesty, this is Eno's Pet Sounds / Sgt. Pepper / Forever Changes, etc.
