Nothing in his catalouge can compare with his first....babys on fire alone makes the rest obsolete.
Aye! However, Another Green World is mind-blowing, and I love Before & After Science as well! I play much of this material on bass, and someday will have Fripp's solo on Baby's On Fire down as well!

Warm Jets for me, though each of those 1st 4 has amazing stuff. Taking Tiger Mountain is best if I'm in the mood for twisted "songs"...Another Green World if I want to Fripp out (his solo on St Elmo's Fire knocks me out)...and I could listen to "Kings Lead Hat" all day

I had to go with..Bush Of Ghosts. That collaboration with David Byrne, well a masterpiece. I remember Rick Wright stating in an article that this album plus Remain In Light were definitely in his top ten of all time.

Almost makes ya wish that Eno had become an integral member of King Crimson! "Kings Lead Hat" is a riot to play on guitar!

Dammit ... . Haven't heard anything with Hassell on it. And I'm not sure if Ambient #2: The Plateaux of Mirror could be called classic. If not, then I'd vote for Another Green World, but so far no vote.

I always think of Kings Lead Hat as a prog version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird guitar jam

Before and After Science. I confess I haven't heard all of these though, like Discreet Music.
This is how I voted on this poll three years ago. Strange, because I was about to vote for either Warm Jets or Green World. All those early ones are fantastic.
