Wherein questions regarding English are answered for our non-native speakers. There may not be any demand for it in which case the thread will die an ignominious (adj, shameful, humilating, failed) death. I nominate myself as school master because I actually teach academic English for a job and BOY DO I LOOK FORWARD TO PEOPLE CRITICISING AND CORRECTING MY ANSWERS. Of course remember that language is idiolectic (adj, relating to the way an individual person speaks) as well as regional so the traditional notion that there is ONE CORRECT WAY to speak a language is of course false so people from different places or backgrounds or age groups may not agree with what I say.
Now it's pretty easy in the days of Google for a native speaker to quickly look up any info about English but a native speaker may not be sure which terms to search for, or may not be able to comprehend the explanation once they've found it, so here's a thread for you to ask away.

I've actually had a couple of my students who have mentioned being on here.  I keep a low profile in those cases.  I know them, they don't know me.   Perfect.

In fact, Teo missed also the "!" symbol. In spanish you have to close the sentence in both sides, not just at the end like the lazy english speakers did... so basically the right form of the sentence is

¡Oh, maestro, ilumíname!

I'm journalist remember... writting in spanish IS my thing... I would change my name to a TEXTBOOK in Spanish...

This makes me wonder what kind of keyboard The T has. Maybe he doesn't have the nifty Alt Gr key that made typing in Spanish convenient back when I spent time in Mexico and Chile.

!Oh maestro, iluminame!

!Oh maestro iluminame!

How does that Alt Gr thingy work?

Is 'Oh' a word in Spanish?
