Yup, its a fun program (especially if you remind yourself that it is comedy) and the theme is pretty proggy in a way.Beer
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

OK, maybe not 100%, but come on...

I think there is a big difference between the two sketches. In the one by Monty Python things happen for inexplicable reasons, and the idea is not to leave the room in a total chaos. In the one by Loriot the man causes all these incidents himself.  There is a big difference in the acting too. - in the Monty Python sketch the man more and more gets into panic, in the Loriot sketch the man is struggling to keep his dignity. But of course the Loriot sketch was inspired by the Monty Python sketch; Loriot was a big admirer of Monty Python and adapted at least one other sketch from them (the "Dead Mouse" sketch), but of course altered in his special way too.
So plagiarism - no; Loriot was too full of own ideas to have to take to that.. Inspiration - definitely.

I, too, love the Supernatural series.  I'm in the middle of season 5 right now and it's getting pretty addicting!

Other shows (past and present) I love:

South Park
Family Guy (can get annoying)
Seinfeld
Metalocalypse
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Scrubs
Lost (ending sucked)
Mega Man (American cartoon)
Mobile Suit Gundam (all series)
Rocko's Modern Life
Hey Arnold

I liked what little of that I caught while it was on TV here.  If I remember right, it's made by at least some of the same people who directed/produced The Mighty Boosh, too.

Right now my interest is really invested in The Blacklist, Elementary, and especially Person Of Interest (which, I am happy to say, has been renewed for the fifth season).

^ I didn't know POI was renewed, that's great. I still have a few episodes from last season to watch. I'm currently watching Daredevil and Freaks & Geeks.

Three of my favorites.......if you like horror adventure set in Victorian England I highly recommend 'Penny Dreadful'.
