Next three are all by the same band, Perizona Experiment. See also All are by Perizona Experiment and need looking at. The founding members were L'ex Luthor (guitar), Piero Ranalli (bass) and Mino Vitelli (drums) - with Il Mùghen (guitar) and El Cote (drums) completing the initial line up. They signed with independent label Skunk Records and released their debut album 'Perizona Experiment' in 1999. Piero and Mino left after this album was released, to join Areknamés, and were replaced by Gabin on bass and Herb-ert on drums. From what is written here about their official debut album Ora È Sempre from 2006, and here about their final release from 2008, it appears that this line up was stable from 2001 right up to the end, so I see no reason why it can't be included for the 5 releases from 2001 onwards above as a core line-up. There were "many collaborators" involved along the way though, so in all cases we have to say: "The complete line-up of guest musicians cannot be verified at this time. If you have information please contact the site", or something similar. From the first of those two links: "The last studio effort of the Perizona Experiment dates back to 2006, and goes to thicken the copious discography of the great group from Pescara, which we must remember already has a dozen publications behind it, including full-length, unofficial demos and live albums, and knowing about the complete works means entering into the reading of the volumes of a complete encyclopedia of the psychonaut - from the 'contaminated' space rock of the first records, passing through the subsequent wide-ranging psychedelic research contained in "Kuxan Suum" and "Hunab Ku", up to to “Ora È Sempre”, probably the most ambitious work, which encompasses accessible (but elaborate) rock and avant-garde tout cour. In addition, the lineup is stable on the ex Luthor (guitars, samples, other) and Gabin (bass), the drummers Herbert and Alessandro Paci, as well as the superb singer Silvia and the various male voices of Ebenio, Giulio and Nua. At the mixer we find Marco Ranalli (Insider) as usual, who also intervenes in some guitar scores. the diskette. The material and ideas that make up "Ora È Sempre" were conceived in the five-year period 2001-2005, but never published on other CDs." So, for the first album: https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=32398: - L'ex Luthor / guitar, voices - Il Mùghen / guitar - Piero Ranalli / bass - Mino Vitelli / drums - El Cote / drums It seems that El Cote was replaced on drums by Alessandro Paci, and Il Mùghen on second guitar also left the band in between the releases in 2000, and those in 2001, so for the albums: the core line-up would most likely have been - L'ex Luthor / guitar, voices - Gabin / bass, keyboards - Herb-ert / drums - El Cote/ drums For the albums from 2001 onwards: it would probably have been: - L'ex Luthor / guitar, voices - Gabin / bass, keyboards - Herb-ert / drums - Alessandro Paci / drums Discogs only lists the 'Ora E' Sempre' official release from 2006 for the band: https://www.discogs.com/release/4422267-Perizona-Experiment-Ora-E-Sempre, so I guess these other albums aren't too important in the grand scheme of things if the info we have for them is incomplete or perhaps not entirely accurate. RYM just has three releases: https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/perizona_experiment, but no info for any of them. There is more info about the 'Ora E' Sempre' official debut album here, but for three of the albums on PA we have no tracklists at all, and a fourth album has the names of the tracks but no timings. A book called 'A Fistful Of Spaghetti' From the writers of 'The Crack In The Cosmic Egg' may have more info about the band and its albums, but it's £25 + postage: http://www.ultimathulerecords.com/fistful.html. A 124 page digital PDF download of material from the book is available on bandcamp for a fiver though: https://audion1.bandcamp.com/album/a-fistful-of-spaghetti-audion-italian-scrapbook. I don't know if this is the complete work, or just a selection from it. And that's about all I can do for this particular band and its albums I'm afraid. |

I've added the link to John Zorn page in MASADA bio. That's enough I think. We should bear in mind the Hippocratic Oath: first do no harm.

^ See my edit about the four identical "All Blues" tracks on CD2.
Edit I should have spotted that earlier. I was already going cross-eyed after sorting through that credits list though!!

Nice job, thanks, all done. I've got a very good program for track titles and timings. But converting line-up info from Discogs individual tracks to PA global credits is really hard, because there are so many formats. Like you, I do it manually from time to time, the old-fashioned way!

Just 18 of the original 50 major releases with "- Name / guitars" in the Line-up / Musicians section still to do. I'm posting the remaining ones here again to make the list easier to find and refer to:

^ Hell, I forgot to mention in that update for Michael Quatro's 'Bottom Line' album that it was released in 1981, not 1980. Both the links I posted say 1981. Sorry!!
And the next one... (and last one for tonight ) This was tough for me. All the credits were listed on Discogs on a track by track basis, and separating the musicians out as a single list, with instruments and tracks they featured on alongside their names wasn't easy! I guess you have put together a program that does all this kind of thing for you automatically lol! I had to do it the long-winded and error-prone way! The Master 1. 1-1 All Blues (4:26) 2. 1-2 Romance (3:01) 3. 1-3 I Just Love You (5:18) 4. 1-4 Manhattan Man (5:12) 5. 1-5 Nirvana (5:45) 6. 1-6 Facts Of Life (6:50) 7. 1-7 Serenada (4:45) 8. 1-8 Paris Groove (6:23) 9. 1-9 Fall (4:44) 10. 1-10 Urban Express (4:31) 11. 1-11 Manhattan Man (4:59) UrbStuff 12. 2-1 All Blues (Mika & Nato) (4:25) 13. 2-2 Just A Funky Feeling (5:01) 14. 2-3 All Blues (Mika & O.S.T.R.) (3:46) 15. 2-4 Ilumination (5:26) 16. 2-5 Mission (5:37) 17. 2-6 The Human Orchestra (6:58) 18. 2-7 All Blues (Makaruk) (5:19) 19. 2-8 All Blues (Mika) (4:26) Total time 96:52 - Michal Urbaniak / violin (1,2,5,7-10), violin programming (12,14,18,19), electric violin (violectra) (3), lyricon (9), vocoder (talking violin) (4,11), keyboards programming (15,16), tenor saxophone (13,16), soprano saxophone (16) With: - John Drydon / drums (1), keyboards (12,14,18,19) - Lenny White / drums (1-3,5,7,8,10,12,14,15,18,19) - Nat Townsley / drums (4,11) - Derren Quinland / drums, drum programming (4,11) - Omar Hakim / drums (6) - Buddy Williams / drums (9) - Bernard Pretty Purdie / drums (13) - Ralph MacDonald / percussion (13) - Tom Browne / trumpet (1,12,14,18,19) - Mika Urbaniak / vocals (1,12,14,19) - Urszula Dudziak / vocals (6) - Henry Jackson / vocals (13) - James Crab Robinson / vocals (13) - Keith Keyboy Rose / vocals (13) - Rickie Byars-Bogers / vocals (13) - Bernard Wright / piano (2,3,5-7,10), keyboards (10) - Herbie Hancock / piano (8), electric piano (15) - Kenny Kirkland / keyboards (9,13) - Marcus Miller / bass guitar (2,5,7,9,10) - Otto Williams / bass guitar (3,4,8,11) - Victor Bailey / bass guitar (6) - Al MacDowell / bass guitar (12,14,18,19) - Pee Wee Ford / bass guitar (13) - Larry Coryell / guitar (6) - Calvin Brown / lead vocals, guitar (13) - Nathaniel Tinsley / rap (12) - Adam Ostrowski (aka O.S.T.R) / rap (14) - Ronnie Helper / rap (15) - 4Kham / rap (16) - Kenny Muhammad / vocals (solo) (17) 2 x CD 6-panel Digipak Sony Music - 88697592062 (2009, Poland) UBX Urbaniak Masters Series. Note: Ilumination in the tracklist (#15) is spelt with only one 'l'. It seems like a mistake, but I've left it like that, since both Discogs and RYM spell it the same way. Edit: That Discogs tracklist I used for the timings has four tracks just called "All Blues" on CD2. RYM lists them distinctly thus: 2.1 All Blues (Mika & Nato) (4:25) 2.3 All Blues (Mika & O.S.T.R.) (3:46) 2.7 All Blues (Makaruk) (5:19) 2.8 All Blues (Mika) (4:26) I've now edited the timings above to include the RYM variations of those four "All Blues" tracks. ^ That's a big improvement Julien.
I just came across this video of the 'Look Deeply Into The Mirror' album, and the line-up is given in the notes below it: - Mike Quatro / moog synthesizer, Baldwin electro-piano, violins, cellos, flutes, organ, harpsichord, keyboard bass, grand piano, tack piano, chimes, sound & electronic effects, maestro theramin, vocals With: - Patti Quatro / all guitar, vocals - Ted Nugent / second guitar (6) - Kirk Arthur Trachsel / all percussion - John Ogen / vocals (1,6) - Chris McKee / vocals (3,4,5,7,8) Seems fair enough to me. I guess the uploader has taken that off the actual album notes.

Not much I can do with this next one from the - Name / guitars list: https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=38646.
https://uk.rarevinyl.com/products/michael-quatro-bottom-line-us-vinyl-lp-album-record-sw70003-765665. 1. Bottom Line (3:14) 2. Let It Ride (3:39) 3. Midnite Train (3:47) 4. Born On A Monday (2:50) 5. Wreckless (3:34) 6. Feels Good (4:20) 7. Ain't All Nite, Ain't Al'right (3:27) 8. Melody (2:26) 9. You're Drivin' Me Crazy (7:25) Total time 34:42 Michael Quatro had a rotating line up of musicians for his albums, and very little definite info seems to be available on line for most of them. The first two albums in his discography were released as 'Michael Quatro Jam Band', and pretty well all the album entries on his PA page are poorly formatted, missing total time, containing incomplete (or unconfirmed) info etc etc. As far as I can see, all we can do with this one is to fill the Line-up / Musicians field with something similar to what Jose used to write: "The actual instrumentation could not be fully confirmed at this time. If you have information please contact the site".

Thanks Mayer, done. But I have a question for you. You uploaded this entry yesterday with some line-up info, then post new line-up info today. Is there a reason? Why not wait to have a definitive line-up before posting? There is no hurry...

Thanks David, updated. But to be honest, I don't know where to place it, so I leave it here for now. John Zorn's discography is VERY hard to organize. Any idea, Eugene?
