Rush. Not a fan of Roger Hodgson's voice, I'm afraid!

I like both bands.

This is slighty amusing to me as when I was at school there was a chap who leant me All The Worlds A Stage and Breakfast in America around about 1979. At the time I was deeply unimpressed with either. Rush were a heavy rock band pretending to be a bit prog while Supertramp were just very dull. I did like Logical Song though but that was it. As time progressed Rush became interesting and developed. Supertramp just went backwards with tripe like 'Its Raining Again'. Now I would count Rush as one of my favourite bands while Supertramp made one great song that I still love. |
Update - I do like Supertramp a lot more now than I did a year or so ago.
I realise now that I like to have some music on my I-pod that is 'warm' and Supertramp deliver that.

Quite difficult, Crime Of The Century is probably my 5/6th favourite prog album of all time, and I also love Even In The Quietest Moments but I own way more Rush albums. Rush are a lot more consistent and to this day are still releasing albums that I love (especially Clockwork Angels). They're also the prog rock band that I own the most albums of so I suppose it has to be Rush for me

Hmm....I go farther back with Supertramp had their vinyl from the beginning in college and even have the first one,. but as someone else said above I play more Rush these days and have from about Farewell on, so I say Rush for the sake of the poll.

I was about to say something very similar Richard... Rush still wins this hands down for me, but I've been listening to Crime of the century a lot over the last year, and it is a good album, although - and someone will shoot me for this - but I really don't like 'School' Asylum and Rudy are great songs though, and Dreamer is kind of clever and original, though it seems to irritate most people who hear it. Another good song for clearing your house of unwanted guests late at night, along with Zappa and anything by VDGG.

Funny thing I've always loved Dreamer so you would be stuck permanently with me .. although Zappa might do the trick though

Yes since I am from Sweden. I thought I might as well represent my country in a good way. With a great album with great cover art.
