I liked it, nice pace, and a reasonably catchy tune as well. Tasty Hammond XK3 grinding in the background. Still, I'm not too fond of the drumming (nothing wrong with it technically, it just sounds too 'stiff' to me).

Just heard the entire album on Sirius XM, interpsersed with live interview with Anderson.  Album is "different" from TAAB, and not quite as consistent, but has some truly excellent parts.  Lyrics are roundly good, lots of "venom" (both subtle and not) from Anderson re bankers, military, religion, etc.  Much more "personal" than TAAB.

Looking forward to getting the album and settling in with headphones and lyrics.

Peace.

Well it gets a bit better later on, but Ian's voice isn't great, and worse, the mixing in my opinion, is dreadful. It sounds lifeless. I expected more from Steven Wilson. And the drums! Where's the energy?!

Must confess it's not the huge pile of steaming poo I was fearing. Albeit far from brilliant, it's nothing to be ashamed of.

This. It reminds me stuff from Roots to Branches and Dot Com, which is enjoyable modern prog/rock.

Not the worst thing I have heard. A few 80's/90's-esque JT cringe worthy moments, but otherwise good.

^I'm finding the stream a bit troublesome too. Just keep pushing play, Scott. That helped me.

I used Firefox for the stream and had no problem. Lots of people are reporting troubles with IE, Opera and Chrome.
