Sorry Slarti, I didn't even read the comic.  I just scanned the posts on this page to see if there was any pictures of bacon sundaes and I didn't see any.  I see that Mike posted a bacon Sundae from Denny's on the previous page.  Pig

If you cook pork belly right, you can get perfect crackling every time (I always slow roast it, take it out to rest, remove the skin & put that back into the oven whilst the potatoes are roasting)

There used to be a Puerto Rican/Peruvian restaurant near where I used to work and shortly after they opened I invited my wife over for a lunch date and we both got the roast port special.  The skin (aka cracklin)  was perfectly crisp.  That appears to be skin, fat, and meat as well.
