I think Close To The Edge is perfect with the title track being first in line. It of course wouldn't change the quality of the album by modifying the track listing, but I would almost prefer if the track list went like this:
1. Close To The Edge
2. Siberian Khatru
3. And You And I

Just ending on the beauty of And You And I would be a nice finish to such an album, rather than the funk and drive of Khatru.

That would make it similar in structure to Relayer, and would really give it that "evil twin" tag the album gets.

Shocked Very true. I like Sound Chaser better than Siberian Khatru though. Gates and CTTE are always the two tracks that compete for first place when it comes to Yes; it's so hard to choose between the two - both are so epic.

I've heard that Yes actually arranged their live sets at the time so that the songs would chronologically appear in that order - that is intro, "Siberian Khatru", a bunch of songs, "And You And I", some more songs, "Close To The Edge", encore.

Nonetheless, I like the reverse order, it sounds a bit more natural to me. "Siberian Khatru" makes a good intro, "And You And I" gives you time to relax and "Close To The Edge" is the massive grand finale.

Siberian Khatru is clearly recorded to be the album closer, so if the track sequence were changed it would have to be remixed.  All the songs are great, so it does not matter the order in which they are played, except in the case of personal preference.  I like it as it is.  But then, Yessongs opens with Siberian Khatru, so it has that capability.

i disagree. And You and I ends too abruptley

I would like it like

1.Gates of Delriem (I know thats not how it's spelled but I'm too tierd to look it up.)
2.Too Be Over
3.Sound Chaser

Sound Chaser would be an epic ending

I agree. The ending of CttE is one of the best endings and it always moves me. It would be perfect as the end. Siberian Khatru is, on the other side, more fitting as the beginning song on the album.

The original order works fine for me.  How about playing the whole album in reverse instead?

Interesting. But how great is Close to the edge's intro! I think I couldn't start to listen to the album with an other track.

I would put the title track in the end too. Siberian Khatru riffy intro works well as an opener imo.

Not strictly on topic, but I refuse to listen to 2112 in official order. A Passage To Bangkok sounds absolutely ridiculous after 2112. I have rearranged my version so 2112 comes last.
