Not certain if the band Woodenhead has ever been considered or not.  A search of the site and ProgFreak did not bring them up although there were a couple of references to them within the forums.  I am thinking that Jazz Rock/Fusion is probably their best place but I think Eclectic might be another possibility.

Here is a link to their website with a couple of short samples.  http://www.woodenheadmusic.com/whmp3.html

Unfortunately I don't have any music samples.

I did find a listing for them on Proggnosis.  http://www.proggnosis.com/ARTIST_DETAIL.aspx?AID=1189

The Jazz/Symphonic/Hard rock/blues mixture makes me want to say Eclectic over fusion, although they could fit in both. I alert the eckies.
