Camel is my favorite band (specifically the first four albums), give me suggestions of bands like them with insanely addictive melodies. Thanks! LOL

^Those threads seem to be quite old. There were more as well. I think a new thread is no problem at all.

^ I just noticed your signature.  There's always more Canterbury Scene to look into.  I suggested Focus in one those threads from Snow Dog.  Maybel look into Moving Waves, Hamburger Concerto, or Focus 3 if you don't know them (check youtube).

anything canterbury i have. and i love focus. i've pretty much listened to most of the popular bands on this site, but im desperate for something new. anything obscure i might like? also, i tend to avoid anything after the 70's (with the exception of astra) maybe i'm missing some good stuff?

btw, i cannot find Rousseau anywhere...

I think there's a band called VALIUM Wink Both cause the same effect on me.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Welcome to the forum.

May I suggest Manfred Mann's Earth Band?

A couple of starting points in case you don't know 'em:

- The Good Earth (1974)
- Nightingales and Bombers (1975)

Here's one from the 80s that might appeal:

Jean-Paul Prat's Masal:

logan - I'm really liking that song, imo took too long to get to the good stuff, hopefully will get better after a couple of listens.

Kraan and Secret Oyster are two primarily instrumental bands that I first liked because their melodicism was reminiscent of Camel.  They don't really "sound like" Camel, but I get a similar vibe from them, if that makes sense.
