The Newcross record is a 5-song EP from 1986, vinyl only.  The sound quality is fine--there's something amiss with the upload, or Youtube filters in stylus dirt.  The drummer has recorded with the Motor Totemist Guild, Ken Ando, Cruel Frederick, and Loren Nerell; the guitarist later recorded with U-Totem; the bassist only on this EP; and both the drummer and guitarist showed up, much later, as Rain of Thought - A Realist's View of Hope (2000, CD only).  The music is a little different, but it maintains all the finesse found on the Newcross EP.

Just like you mention yourself, this one has Discipline written all over it! Lush fluid guitar work with lots of poly rhythms and ambient/floating synths in the back.
Let's see what the eclectic boys have to say about it though...
“The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”

Band with one shorter LP or EP even according to some sites, in 1986, members and tracklist on discogs. Private release and the sound is a bit on the bad side, but I think it has KC's Discipline written all over it.
