Sagi, my friend, you make me smile! Although I haven't listened to them in many years, I used to love those early RHCP albums! `Mofo' was my favourite, a nice metallic funk psychedelic groover full of colour, I've got a beautiful copy of it on vinyl too!

Although I've boxed away a lot of CD's I liked when I was younger, I wouldn't dream of getting rid of them, and the R.H.C.P's were quite a special band in my younger days! `Blood Sugar...' was the very first tape I ever wore out too!

Blew my mind too when I heard that fusion radio station too, Mr Meltdowner! I liked that ambient/electronic one too, pretty sure Tangerine Dream popped up on there as well.

You are correct. I didn't notice there was a Tangerine Dream song in it. Probably because I didn't know them when I played the game. The only one I knew from The Journey was from Jean Michel Jarre.

Lacuna Coil- In Reverie
I've always liked this one, and it has a nostalgic vibe for me. My sister (who was a goth) bought it for me at the tail end of 1999 for my birthday when my interest in metal was at a real low ebb as my circle of friends at the time were into the Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits trinity & such. Loved Cristina's voice and the variety of the tunes on it. Outside of this album and the great Halflife EP I haven't really been able to get into their albums outside of some songs from each. Incidentally, my sister wound up buying me Dark Adrenaline on vinyl after it came out. Great packaging and cool looking colored vinyl but I honestly don't play it much.

That's a very cool and thoughtful sister you have.
I do appreciate In Reverie quite a bit. It's grown on me, but at first listen it didn't win me over a few years back. The Italian gothic/pop metal does take a bit of getting used to, but I sure do like the dynamic of the band especially with the dual vocals. Lacuna Coil is a special group and Christina Scabbia has the best female vocals for a metal band I've ever heard. Her and Anneke Van Geirsbergen of the Gathering are the tops in my book right now. :)
As for Dark Adrenalin. Give it a spin. Kill The Light, Intoxicated, Trip The Darkness and Fire should win you over. Incredibly catchy, upbeat choruses that will put a
on your face.
Anyhow. Glad you've had a run in with Lacuna. And yes. Their EP is amazing. That instrumental they did, Un Fantasmo Tre Moi is just amazing. Kinda proggy too! :)
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Artificial Brain - Labyrinth Constellation - Psychotic technical death metal with some similarities to the more warped bands of the genre like Portal and Ulcerate. Utterly ferocious and furious stuff with no shortage of dissonance and brutality. Really good stuff if you're one of the few that dig this sort of thing...like me.

Kara - Lupin - I'm still ill with the Kpop virus. What sets this mini album apart from the vast quagmire of Kpop releases is that while there's certainly no shortage of love songs in the genre, I can't say I've heard a pop song whose theme is an homage to Maurice Leblanc's fictional character, gentleman thief Arsène Lupin. Other notable songs besides the title track are "Tasty Love" with its bizarre sounding english moments ("Come on me now!") an "Umbrella" which features the most random quick use of double bass pedaling I've ever heard.

Emerson Lake & Palmer - s/t - I remember when I first got this way back before I was in high school I thought side two was a bore because it didn't rock enough and only "Lucky Man" had vocals. I was a young rock fan trying to branch out. Revisiting that album a few years ago I realized how much I've evolved as a music listener. It's pretty much a consistently really good album from beginning to end...no oddball quicky tracks either (although I kinda like some of them).

Yes...it's a great album and one of the ones that started me on the path of 'prog'. I usually play it every 3 months or so...but then I tend to play The Moody Blues often anyway.

I've actually been enjoying the early 80s stuff lately....sacrilege around hereLOL

^ Wow Emma Shapplin's 'Carmine Meo'. Haven't heard her mentioned in a while. I still have that one on CD. Some really odd lyrics in there.
