| I shall!! The RAVEN is getting a spin tonight. :) | Dude. It was enjoyable. Steven Wilson's vocals aren't the best for me, but having Alan Parsons on the album really grabbed my attention. The audio is top notch quality. I really enjoyed the tracks DRIVE HOME and the last track THE RAVEN THAT REFUSED TO SING. I was hit hard with those tracks. Very moving.

I was eyeballing this in the store the other day, but reneged on purchasing this album cause I knew it was overpriced at 27.99$. Toronto such a rip off man. This is why I buy online. :) Anyway. Was this a good listen for you? Did you enjoy the Zepplin cover? |
Hi Progbethyname. Well, it is 99% instrumental music. There are only two tracks with vocals. The Zeppelin cover is very different from the other tracks. Most of the tracks are very slow, atmospheric and ambient. There are 3 CDs in the set, each about an hour long. So it's 3 hours of music in total. If you liked Nine Inch Nails instrumental album "Ghosts" or Reznor and Ross' previous soundtrack "The Social Network", then you will probably like "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" too. Personally, I think that the How To Destroy Angels album "Welcome Oblivion" is the best thing that Reznor has done, I would buy that before any of his other albums. | I see. Well that's nice to ear that the album is in vein of GHOSTS cause i very much enjoyed that album by REZNOR. I feel it's his best prog-related album to date. I'm very interested in picking this one up and OBLIVION cause the HOW TO DESTROY ANGELS track is phenomenal. So it's 3 CDs eh? Man. Thought it was 2. Anyway. Thank you and enjoy GHOSTS! I see you are listening to that one now. :)

Oh that's too bad. Ok. I'm gonna read your review now. I just ordered it on Friday. The production notes made by KOBI sounded really intriguing. Huge production and orchestration to be exact. Ah well. Sorry it Dissapointed you. I guess all in all MABOOL is a tough one to top. :)

How did you feel about Bosnian Rainbows? I was pretty underwhelmed by the record, but then again I only listened to it once.

Mendel - Subliminal Colours | Zeqexes, do you know if a proper CD of `Subliminal Colours' ever came out? I'd love to buy one, was probably one of the most dynamic prog-metal albums I'd heard in ages!
