Had a nice day. Enjoyed these recordings very much as well as the World Cup final. Ze Germans prevail!
Guess I better honor those Sennheisers.....

IQ--Tales From The Lush Attic (2013 remaster/remix)
Fear Factory--Archetype
Front Line Assembly--Tactical Neural Implant
Saviour Machine-- Legend Pt 1 (special edition)
Saviour Machine--Legend pt 3:2 (Final edition. This was a very rare pressing that I was able to procure from a good friend of Eric Clayton himself. I'm honored to have had the privilege to hear this final pressing resonably finished. :)

What a fine collection you have there, Meltdowner! I only bought (and heard for the first time) `Oxygene' about a year ago, I avoided it because I assumed it was going to be really bland new-age dreck with a beat. Turns out it's a beautiful melodic electronic gem, and I totally understand why it's so loved. I would instantly recommend it to newies wanting to try out the electronic genre, very easy to get into and enjoy.

As for `Zeit'…you say you don't know what was wrong with it, but…I would GET that! It's so dark, abstract, subtle, suffocating, horrifying…very hard to initially understand and appreciate. I think I have it a full five star review about a year back…I don't listen to it too often (but I will be on my upcoming nightshift in a couple more days), but when I do, it really affects me!

For my own selections over the last two days:

Emerson, Lake and Powell - s/t (the best thing they (well, most of them!) did after `Brain Salad Surgery' to my ears)
Van der Graaf Generator - Still Life
Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick
Glass Hammer - Perilous
Neal Morse - Momentum
Mystery - The World is a Game
Progenesi - Ulisse:L'Alfiere Nero
Unreal City - La Crudelta Di Aprile
The Night Watch - Twilight
Twin Age - Lialim High, Month of the Year

'Oxygene' was my introduction to Electronic: I know it since I can remember and saw him play the whole album a few years ago, so it's a special album to me Smile

It was a great experience although maybe I shouldn't have listened it at work LOL
Now that I like it I'll give 'Beaubourg' another chance Wink

Tried giving this band another go today with their debut, but there are only a few songs that I really, really like.  I can't listen to a full APC album like I can easily a Tool album.

It happened for me too. I approached this album not because of Keenan but because of drummer Tim Alexander, which I was always a big fan of. Although I liked the first few songs the rest didn't do much for me and I soon gave up on it, I need to play it again and see if something changed Smile

I liked Thirteenth Step a little bit more, but I still can't really listen to either all the way through in one sitting.  They aren't bad, just a little dull.  And I came to APC as a Tool/MJK fan and obviously didn't expect/want a clone, but unfortunately, I just want to listen to Tool when I listen to APC.

Brilliant, my friend, really happy you liked it! I should have mentioned that it would appeal to P.F.M fans, some of it was that same rollicking sound on their albums. A really impressive debut, hope we get a follow-up!
