`Paper Monkeys' is a very...predictable Ozrics album, Sam, but at the same time it's perfectly decent at the same time. I seem to spin it fairly often. I've got that one on LP myself, maybe you should look into it yourself, Vinyl man! Glass Hammer - Chronometree....Perfectly great modern symphonic prog let down by such an atrocious singer! Tries way too hard...what's with his drawn-out, lady-killer slurred vocals?! I suggested a few months back on the Glass Hammer FB page that they release it with someone else re-recording the vocals, and they'd almost have a modern symphonic classic on their hands...was nice to see several people agreed with me!

I'll give it a listen next time I'm in a OT mood. I should probably get a lot of their LP's before that one That's what I thought too, strange vocals indeed The instrumental is very nice though. I received my PT cassette today

Yeah, if I recall correctly I think the later half of `Chronometree' gets into a bit of an instrumental run for a few tracks. Actually, I don't know if it was the same for you, but every time the singer stopped singing and an instrumental passage popped up, your attention suddenly picked up! Not a good sign for the singer!

It wasn't a very attentive listen, so it didn't annoy me as much, but it was better when he shut up

Arena – The Seventh Degree of Separation ure | Yeah baby!! God. If their new album is anything like seventh I'd be pretty happy, but I have a feeling a few epics are in the mix. Be great to have an official Manzi epic. ;) Yesterday and today with some new audio toys. ;) Supertramp-- In the quietest moments. ( I think Babaji is the best track for me on this one right now. Nuts. I know. ;) Arena- Seventh degree of separation. ( yup. I can still spin this one regularly. ) Fates Warning-- FWX ( holy god the sound quality is very good on this one. Underrated album. ) Fields of the Nephilim--fallen ( some great bass playing on this one ) Lacuna coil-- broken crown halo. Goblin-- Back to the Goblin ( pignatelli's bass. Ethereal. ;) .

Love that album, I have the 90's loud CD edition though Today: Carlos Paredes - Movimento Perpétuo Ornatos Violeta - O Monstro Precisa de Amigos (THE Portuguese 90's Rock masterpiece, a very unique and ambitious blend of influences, being Britpop the most obvious ) La Coscienza Di Zeno - La Notte Anche Di Giorno (Italian Kansas ) Ozric Tentacles - Paper Monkeys (I was a bit scared when I listened the first track, that sounded very DnB, but the rest was much more classic OT but more dancey than usual )

That helps and it was handy! i actually like the first few albums a lot, Iva has a voice on him. Great review , mate! We are only a star apart but Hungarians and Poles have a longstanding 'affair', so .....

^^ :)
Another great weekend. Happy listening to all of you as well. Getting the most out of your music is one of the greatest gifts of all.
Arena-- 7th degree of separation. ( can't put this one down lately. ) Threshold-- march in progress Goblin-- Roller Arena-- Immortal? Psychotic Waltz-- Mosquito ( my least favourite of the 4 they did but its still a great album. Haze One is an awesome track. ) Lacuna Coil-- Broken Crown Halo. ( great bass playing on this album. ) Genesis-- A Trick Of The Tail. ( Rutherford's moog Taurus pedals are just booming on this one. Love it! ) IQ-- The Road of bones( those who have only bought or listen to the single disc edition I question your existence as a human being. Lol!) Dead Soul Tribe-- Lullaby for the devil. ( their best effort. And their last. ) Fates Warning-- A darkness in a different light ( still my most beloved album of 2013.) Vanden Plas-- Christ 0. Seven Impale-- City of the sun. ( I really love this one now. It's grown on me a lot. ;) Fields Of the Nephilim-- fallen. ( quality bass. Quality album. ) Pendragon-- introducing Pendragon. Disc 1 only. ( I love this compilation because it has all their best epics on it. It's perfect. Usually dislike comps, but not this one. ) Daft Punk-- TRON legacy soundtrack. Kraftwerk-- Trans Europe express
