Wow, thanks for the tip-off, Bard! I've just got a review of `Atlantis' ready to go, so I've been listening to that constantly lately. Sometimes not so easy to do, it's very noisy! Do you like that album of theirs much yourself? It's certainly not as easy to enjoy on a surface level like `Walk The Nile'. | Sorry, Michael, missed this before. Got to agree with Tom, don't think "Atlantis" is as good as their first two. Got it coming up in rotation again soon though, so I'll see if another listen can change my mind about it.
Funny thing about Fiske, not a big fan of his works with Elephant9 and Motorpsycho, but I absolutely love the album I've heard from Dungen ("Tio bitar"), and I also like the one he did with Paatos, "Timeloss", a lot. Hopefully the two upcoming Elephant9 albums will be a step or two up from "Atlantis". The art work for the first of the new ones, titled "Silver Mountain", has got my hopes up, that's for sure! Love it!

Yeah, I was thinking psychedelic because of the nature of the music, and also indo-prog, because of the tablas. Post rock, and also folk prog, but mostly because of the use of banjos (American folk? ), went through my mind, but thinking about it you're probably right, krautrock might be their best fit. They have a few other albums I will get and check out before submitting an official suggestion to your team. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the matter, Sam.
Btw, I hope you choose to go to that Psych Rock festival, even if it's by yourself. Is that festival where Fire! Orchestra will play as well? I usually go to concert by myself, don't know too many people IRL who are into the same music as I am, sadly. Speaking of concerts, last weekend Motorpsyco were joined by their former drummer, Gebhardt, as well as their old audio virus provider, Deathprod, to perform their second album, "Demon Box", in its entirety at a festival an hour's drive south of Oslo, but I missed it because of a familiy cottage trip. Bummer! Would've loved to witness that, although I'm not a big fan of that album. Just a little anecdote about a concert I didn't get to go to.

If you're looking for their other albums, get the studio albums mini-LP boxset, it's really cheap and looks nice in the shelf I don't know how many times I spun those CD's
Snack(s) is so great, I should have bought Vehicle when I had the chance, but I spent all the money I had on albums, including money for gas... fortunately I had enough to return home

Catch-up for the last week or so Eloy – Silent Cries and Mighty Echoes Eloy – Time to Turn The Flower Kings – Desolation Rose Neal Morse – Momentum Neal Morse – The Grand Experiment Neal Morse – Sola Scriptura Pendragon – Men Who Climb Mountains The Gentle Storm – The Diary Hawkwind – Levitation (3 disc reissue) Sound of Contact - Dimensionaut Dave Kerzner – New World Anekdoten – Until All The Ghosts are Gone Beardfish – The Void Alpha Wave Movement – Yasumu Alpha Wave Movement – Architixture of Silence Alpha Wave Movement – Beyond Silence Alpha Wave Movement – Celestial Chronicles Alpha Wave Movement – Earthen Galahad – Decade Deuter – D Deuter – Aum Vangelis – Spiral Steve Roach – Etheric Imprints Bing Satellites - Rain Beardfish – Comfortzone - Sagi, have you heard this yet? Seems to be one of their more disappointing ones. After two amazing opening tracks, damn it drops off in quality. There's at least three or four clunkers, that while still well sung by...damn, I forget his name, they don't have a particularly strong or memorable melody...and this time around there's WAY too many wordy lyrics as well...a few tracks sound like it could almost be a solo album for the singer. The vocals/lyrics go on and on at the expense of what could have been some lengthier instrumental stretches. Also, for all the accusations about `The Void' being metal, this sounds MORE metal in parts, only this time it's 80's metal, especially with some of the high-pitched vocals. I don't know....will keep at it, needs some serious spins before I make a proper call...

The Dave Kerzner one is a knockout, Sam. I bought this some months back but only listened to it now. Actually since I got this, an expanded double CD version has come out, so I'm a bit annoyed! But it's amazing, tons of Floydian atmospheres (and Dave's voice in the dreamier chorus moments is a dead ringer for Gilmour), and it's just as strong in many ways as the stuff he did on the Sound of Contact album. In fact, some of the melodies are very similar, so I'm wondering if was the real `secret ingredient' that made that debut so good? Deuter's `Aum' (yep, I raced back and got the CD!) is very decent. Not as good as the debut, but plenty of goof stuff on it. There's lots of little segments, whereas the debut had longer, slowly evolving pieces. But it's still worthwhile.

I just saw the information about the expanded version: 143 minutes? I didn't know SoC when I heard Kerzner's album, it might sound different the next time
That's nice. I hope I will listen to it soon
